MY Personal Story

I know what it feels like to be stuck. For years, I was trapped in a cycle of exhaustion, overwhelmed by the demands of life, and disconnected from my own body. As a stressed-out schoolteacher, I poured all my energy into my work, leaving little for myself. My health and happiness felt like distant dreams, buried under the weight of my responsibilities.

Then, one day, I stepped into a gym—not because I had a grand plan, but because I was curious. That small, hesitant step became the doorway to something much greater. At first, weightlifting was just a way to blow off steam, but it quickly transformed into a profound journey of self-discovery. With each workout, I began to understand that true transformation wasn’t about punishing my body—it was about respecting it, collaborating with it, and learning to trust its wisdom.

The gym became my sanctuary, a space where I could rebuild not just my strength but also my sense of self. I started to see weight loss differently—not as a battle against my body, but as an opportunity to align with it. About Etta

Etta has dedicated herself to the health and wellness field for over two decades. Her journey began in 2001 when she discovered her passion for fitness through competitive bodybuilding. Over time, this passion evolved into a commitment to living a healthy lifestyle, even as she balanced a 13-year career as a high school teacher. Eventually, Etta transitioned into personal training, guiding her clients in achieving their health and fitness goals.

Recognizing the importance of addressing health from a holistic perspective, Etta founded one of the first faith-inspired digital magazines, LiveLiving. She served as the magazine’s publisher for seven years before pursuing a master’s degree in integrative health and wellness coaching to deepen her expertise.

Today, Etta runs a private coaching practice and leads a nonprofit organization, LiveLiving International Foundation. Her vision is to help individuals live healthier, more balanced lives by connecting behavioral health practices with personal values and purpose.

Etta holds a master’s degree in Education focusing on theater and a second master’s degree in Health and Wellness Coaching. She is certified by the National Board for Health and Wellness Coaching, a member of the International Coaching Federation. She has received advanced training from the Maryland University of Integrative Health and Duke Integrative Medicine.

Each session is 90 minutes.

75% of each session is dedicated towards group coaching including debriefing, 25% of the session is dedicated towards practice.

The exercises, which take just 15 minutes each day, are designed to help you stay consistent and focused without feeling overwhelmed.

The nutritional guidance focuses on balanced, whole-food eating that supports your body’s natural rhythm and weight loss goals.

Each session is 45 minutes—one at the beginning and the other toward the end of the program.
